VB Schools leaders have stated that Critical Race Theory is not being implemented in our schools.  I believe those statements are not truthful because I have proof that CRT IS taking place.  I have also personally witnessed CRT classroom teachings.  I will be providing links and documents that show CRT IS taking place in Va Beach Schools.  I believe semantics are being used to cover up these teachings and trainings.
Here are just a few documents from trainings in VBCPS that mention Critical Theory.

This topic is on the agenda for discussion at this evening's formal meeting which begins 6pm.  To provide your views to the board, send an email to vbcpsschoolboard@googlegroups.com.

If you want a good definition of Critical Race Theory, please watch this video.

The Equity Policy promotes "Culturally Responsive Practices (CRP)".  I've been asking for a definition of "CRP" but was given vague answers.  This shows that CRP is actually Critical Theory.

Here are more examples of screenshots from teacher training in VBCPS in which Critical Theory is being pushed.

I am glad that the teachers are learning these concepts and are supposed to work toward better understanding their students and their experiences. It is important to talk about these things and learn from each other. When I was a teacher in NC, my students had upbringings that were significantly different from my own, and I would have benefitted from reading this material. I have no idea why this upsets you so much.

Kids today are certainly more social-conscious that kids were 10 or 20 years ago and these discussions will come up -especially in secondary school classrooms. I think it is wonderful that the district is preparing teachers (including those of my own 4 kids) to better facilitate these discussions.

This isn't anti-racism, this is pure racism directed at shifting the power/control paradigm. This is disgusting racist teachings that children shouldn't be taught. The goal of the school system shouldn't be to brain wash children into guilt. VB schools has really gone downhill since Spence took over.
